Profile

Acqua feels like a South Beach project in Puerto Vallarta, from its marketing to its Buda restaurant. Its open-air units are ideal for parties, in some cases with terraces larger than the apartment.

Acqua has an interesting modular approach. You can buy one unit or several and put them together like Legos. Units have low starting prices -- just over USD $100,000 -- but come stripped down. Everything from parking spaces to air conditioning are add-ons.

Pros

- Very nice beach and swimmable ocean
- Trendy
- You can customize and combine the modular units to an unusual degree

Cons

- It will have a hotel component with a transient population.
- Execution of details ... you may need to refinish some elements.
- As of this writing, it claims a Club Danzatoria (from Barcelona) as one of its amenities; however, Danzatoria's website says it has closed, leaving this arrangement in doubt.
