Pros

- Instead of buying a home outright, purchase only what you plan to use ... in multiples of three-week interests.
- A high-end residence (as high as it gets) for less than USD 300K
- Because they only allocate 36 out of 52 weeks among 12 interests, there's built-in "slack" in the rotation. This means a higher likelihood of getting the weeks you want as well as flex-time usage.
- Extra time is available on a space-available (flex-time) basis for far less than it would cost to get a similarly-sized suite at the hotel ... about USD 200 a night versus over USD 1000.
- You can exchange with other Four Seasons Residence Clubs, which are being added around the world.
- Deeded property which you can sell, potentially for a profit.
- Furnished and maintained by the Four Seasons. Headache-free.
- They'll store and put out your family photos before you arrive.

Cons

- To make the most of your interest, you'll want to plan your vacations far ahead of time. The planning window for the year begins the summer before.
- Top choices are allocated among the owners on a rotating basis. This means taking turns for peak weeks like Christmas and Easter.
