Pros

Located within Mayakoba, which includes "El Camaleón", a Greg Norman designed championship PGA golf course. Easy access to the beach. Plasma TV and other furnishings included in all units. Hotel service and integrated rental program. The resort development is a hassle free getaway with every detail taken care of that should appeal to anyone who can afford it.

Cons

This project is also on indefinite hold, though there seems to be some pulse with advertising. We met someone who worked for the developer who was driving a Viceroy-branded SUV, so perhaps when the market returns, so will The Viceroy.

Located five miles outside of Playa del Carmen. Fairly isolated. The resort community may not be conducive to permanent residents with children.

General Comments

The Viceroy Mayakoba is located on a total of 40 acres divided into two sites at Mayakoba, Lagoon and Beach. The beach site features 44 units, ranging from a studio to a five-bedroom presidential villa. The lagoon site features 120 units ranging from studios to four-bedroom Presidential lagoon villa. Interiors by Kelly Wearstler.
